Sunday, May 14, 2000 (Mother's Day)

It was a beautiful day, even by SoCal standards, 75 degrees, sunny, with just a slight breeze. Can you FReep on such a nice day?

Yep, we FReeped 'em big. By Howard Krivoy's estimate (he was in charge of the sign committee, and handed out 500 name tags before the ran out) there were about 650 sensible humans, and I now guess about 1,000 mindless sheep across the street. You should have heard the worthless drivel coming from the mouths (asses?) of the liberal idiot speakers. We had fun playing Mystery Science Theatre 3000, (Political Science Theatre 2000?) adding great lines and jokes to their silly remarks. There were no confrontations, as there were plenty of L.A.'s finest donut consumers standing around, jaywalking, and looking really bored. You can bet they were just hoping for an excuse to break out the teargas.

Fortunately, all those people, signs, blocked lanes, and COPS scared enough drivers to create virtual gridlock on the Eastbound Wilshire Blvd. (three lanes wide!) This gave the people stuck in the traffic plenty of time to read many of the GREAT signs that were on display by Constituition loving Americans.

I was "armed" with my favorite "Here's Gun Control" (with a nice grouping target taped below) sign that has "Dial 911 & Dominos....Pizza b4 Police!" on the back. Vanman had the "Prohibition 2000" sign, and Da Linda had the "Your Bad Kids Are Not MY Guns Fault" placard.

A special thanks to the Grave One, for carrying a HUGE sign that had a GREAT spoof of the old "Keep Abortions Safe and Legal" slogan. I'll let you scroll down and admire his parity work for yourself.

Did we trump the MMM's? Did we ever! You should have seen the look on the .001 Million Morons when they marched past our signs, most of the idiots couldn't catch the punchlines!

Of course, there was the occasional articulate outburst from one of these liberal, government loving sheep. It consisted of an outstretched middle finger, a frown, and a foul comment.

Oh, well, when you're intellectually challenged, you have to resort to what you're capable of.

There was a joker there with the LA Slimes that interviewed AnnaZ (of course, she's pretty!) for 30 minutes. When he was done, he walked over, saw my sign, and had to ask what it meant. Right then I knew, he was a sheep, and we won't get any good ink in that rag.

One item of note. We had about 200 people, and probably 50-100 U.S. flags. The "other side?" About 4-500 people, and only TWO flags, held by small children, one of which was constantly being dragged in the gutter by the four year old "holding" it.

How appropriate when you consider that they are mostly Democrats, and therefore the sheep of Klink, who has dragged our country through the gutter for over seven years.

To all the FReepers that greeted me, like AnnaZ, the lovely Incindiary, Mercuria, gc4nra, and anybody I left out (hey, I had my FREEREPUBLIC.COM - HENCHSTER shirt on!) thanks for coming out, I hope you had half as much fun as HENCH did. FReepers are always the coolest, most charming people with the finest class and etiquette.

Mercuria and AnnaZ are making a full report, and I'll post more details, and of course lots of pictures, there.

Now HERE'S a couple of GREAT signs! I think she added two inches to here biceps holding them all day. MY hat's off to her!

Incindiary shows her stuff, it seemed to be VERY popular with FReepers. (I can't imagine why? </sarcasm off>) On the right, that's FeinSwineSuksAss, and believe me, her name is NOT representative of ANYTHING except her contempt for our "Senior Senator"
