Tres Generaciones en La Paz!
02/08/2008
Gran, Dad and I spent the week in La Paz on the Gilly Too. That's three generations of fun lovers!

He hasn't been on the Gilly Too for TWO minutes, and Hench has already cracked a cold Cerveza Barralito, kicked back on the couch, and taken over control of the remote.

Gran is already having a good time.

"OK, now we're going to get down to some SERIOUS fun."

Over at La Concha, Gonzolo serves us some Cerveza Pacificos, margaritas, and great fajitas.

About the lowest you'll ever see the tide.

Here we are at the models for Paraiso del Mar. Dad's future home in La Paz.

A view of the back of the Luna model Dad purchased.

One of the many interesting boats at Costa Baja. Looks like a LOT of varnish maintenance work to me!

But it is a beautiful boat!

More of Costa Baja.

Another unique boat that must require a lot of attention to keep it looking this good.

The Beach Club at Costa Baja. We had a lovely lunch here. The food was very good everywhere we went.

Remember, every boat has a story. Just one look at this thing gets me humming the "Sanford & Son" theme song. El Yonke de Marina de La Paz!

This thing is stuffed with junk, garbage, and who knows what else. If Mexico had Super-Fund Cleanup Sites, this spot on the dock would be the South-of-the-border version of "Love Canal." The guy that owns it sits in the back whittling something. He needs to whittle a shovel, broom, vacuum cleaner and trash can!

Sometimes a name, says it ALL!

Gran and I at Gula, which means "Gluttony"

Yep, we sure stuffed ourselves.

Gran and I on the dock at Marina de La Paz. The Gilly Too is just a bit further on.

And there she is.

Gran and I at the end of our slip.

Dad has a glass of wine.

While Hench has a Barralito.

Gran and I in front of the pool and beach at The Marlin Club in North La Paz. We stopped here for lunch before we went to the airport.

Dad holds Gran up as the double Margarita she had kicks in. She would have another at the airport, and Dad and I would literally have to pick her up off the floor! She sure knows how to have fun.
