HENCH's Bahamian Adventure

06/05/05

Well, it's over now. Can't we have Mr. Peabody get Sherman to set the Wayback Machine for the START of the trip? No? Can we get a "Groundhog Day" for ANY of the days on this trip? No? Oh well, then we'll just have to keep hittin' the website to remind us how much darn fun we had.

You know the rules of this game. Go grab a beverage, and maybe another, while the pics download on these pages. While we apologize for the delay, it's only because we want to give you the highest quality pictures so you can really see how much fun is being consumed on this trip.

OK, after an EVENTFUL travel day, Captain Seadog and HENCH arrived Tuesday night at the luxury yacht Gilly Too in Nassau, had a drink, (or two) and went straight to the casino.  The Dog stayed out past 1am, BUT.....

You gotta say this about the Seadog - he manned his post the minute we shoved off from port, and diligently stayed there throughout his shift like a hardened sailor. OK, You are relieved of your post. I SAID, YOU'RE RELIEVED OF YOUR POST! What a guy, willing to do a double shift!

"Do you want fries with that?" Custom 10,000 sq ft home, beachfront lot that backs onto the golf course, private breakwater and quay, and change back from your $20 million. How much change back? About enough for a Happy Meal.

Arggh Matey, it's actually raining and you can't see a thing! What are we going to do Capt'n Henchy?

"Have a ration of beer of course. Let me show you how, you swab!"

Capt'n Henchy knows his stuff, there's the Atlantis marina dead ahead in the distance.

A couple cruise ships sit docked at the pier.

A couple of BIG cruise ships! Every day one or two left, and one or two more showed up.

This is the "State of Maine." It appears to be some kind of university research ship. It's ALMOST as ugly as the two RINO Senators from that miserable State.

Forget the "State of Maine," here's some REAL work being done. This small inter-island container ship is being loaded.

And loaded at a pretty good rate too. Not quite as efficient as the guy in San Pedro I watched, but hey, who is?

I don't know why such a nice fishing boat would be tied up to such a scow as the "Trans Cargo II." The "Trans Cargo II" wins our award for "Best in Class" - That's the leaking, rat-infested, dry-rot, black-mold rust-bucket class. Every marina has one, you just have to find it. HENCH found it for you. You're welcome!

And here we go to dock at the Atlantis Marina after a fabulous cruise day. On the left you can catch a helicopter or seaplane to just about anywhere.

Roughing it on the Gilly Too. You can see how we suffered in the galley...
