Grand Jury Subpoenas Clinton Pardon Records

A federal grand jury has subpoenaed records detailing contributions to the Clinton presidential library as part of an investigation into the pardon of fugitive financier Marc Rich, two legal sources told CNN on Thursday.

One of the sources said it was his understanding the grand jury, under the direction of US attorney Mary Jo White in New York, had also subpoenaed all government records related to the Rich pardon.

The subpoena for the Clinton library records was received by Skip Rutherford, the executive director of the library foundation, on Tuesday, according to the sources. Rutherford is making arrangements to comply, one of the sources said.

Separately, this source said Rutherford planned to comply with a separate subpoena issued by a House committee investigating the pardons, and would also release those documents to the public once they are sent to the committee.
